Writer’s Guidelines
If you would like to write for Great Escape Publishing, please read through these writer’s guidelines completely before doing anything else. The next thing you should do is become familiar with what we publish in our free newsletter, The Right Way to Travel.
Great Escape Publishing publishes articles on the craft and business of getting paid to travel, whether by writing, photography, tours or other means. We also publish short interviews with successful readers and members, as well as professionals working in a field that enables our readers to get paid to travel. We do not publish straight travel pieces.
If you have been successful in travel writing, photography, the import/export business, or running your own tours and would like to share insider tips of your craft, we would like to hear your story.
If you have taken one of our programs and found success because of it, we would like to hear your story.
Please do not confuse the content we publish on our website and in our newsletter, The Right Way to Travel, with the types of articles we teach our readers and members to write and sell to travel magazines. We do not publish straight travel narratives. We focus only on the craft. For more, please visit our archives of past published articles:

Submissions should be sent as a .doc or .docx file, include your full name, address and telephone number, and be approximately 300-600 words for publication in The Right Way to Travel. We purchase all rights to the articles we publish and non-exclusive unlimited use rights to the images. Payment is upon publication. We retain the right to publish your article/photos in any of our affiliated publications as well as the World Wide Web.
We pay $150 for interviews, personal stories, and any articles we request for the website with specific income advice readers can print and follow to earn more income.
If requested by the employees of Great Escape Publishing, the author will verify all facts in the article and furnish the fact-checking material to Great Escape Publishing, including a list of sources and/or footnotes backing up each claim made, facts/research cited and sources included in the work.
Please Note: We only respond to unsolicited articles on an as needed basis. You will not get a response from us unless your article is going to be used in an upcoming series.
