With fall knocking on our door, we’re entering one of the busiest buying seasons for stock photography.
And although it might seem early, one of the most popular keyword searches on Dreamstime for the month of August was the word “Christmas.”
This is the time of year when companies, designers, bloggers, and photos buyers of all types are working on projects to get ready for the holidays, and they need images.
Since photo buyers are usually looking several months ahead, as stock photographers we should be thinking ahead as well.
Now would be the perfect time to go through your hard drive and find any holiday photos you took last year that you didn’t have time to upload to your agencies.
And if you don’t have any photos sitting around from last year, you could easily set up a little table-top scene to get some shots.
It doesn’t need to be winter to capture these types of photos:
Sure, it might seem a little weird to bake up a batch of gingerbread cookies right now, but I’m sure you won’t have any trouble finding volunteers to help eat them as you work on getting ahead in the stock photography game.
