Hello Breakfast Stock Club! It’s time for our third quarter yearly goal check-in! Honestly, this one snuck up on me.

Let’s take a look at our yearly goals, our progress, our hang-ups… and refocus. Start by writing down these questions, and their answers:

  1. What are my goals for 2016?
  2. What steps have I taken towards reaching them?
  3. What’s left to do?
  4. Are these still the goals I want, or should I adjust them?

The goals I made in January are:

  • Double my headshots from last year. (Shoot 40 headshots this year!)
  • Double the number of images in my stock photo portfolios.
  • Attempt to Climb Mt. Baker.

What I’ve done, and what’s left to do:

Headshots: At the Ultimate Travel Writer’s Workshop, I offered headshots to attendees at a modest fee. I thought this would fill up my 40-headshot goal, but it more than doubled it, and I shot about 90 headshots in just three days! Wow. Crossing this one off the list.

Stock Portfolios: This goal needs a little love. I’ve only added 22 new photos to my portfolios in the last three months. So this is where I’ll have to focus between now and the end of the year.

Mt. Baker: My Mt. Baker climb was canceled due to weather, so I’m making a new goal for next year to climb Mt. Rainier, in Washington state. Before the end of the year, I’ll need to start a training program.

How are you doing on your goals? Do you need to adjust them? Share on the Breakfast Stock Club Facebook Page.

I don’t know about you, but checking in like this really helps me continue to move towards the things I want in life.

As we approach this last quarter, start thinking about the things you want next year. At the end of 2016 we’ll look at our goals with fresh eyes and continue forward!
